"I am interested in nature and its micro-details….growth patterns in plants and other organisms, decay, movement, composition and structure all influence me from the natural objects I draw, study, collect or photograph in macro-format.
My pieces too are like miniatures from nature. Abstracted details of qualities I have observed, altered and transformed first into miniature sculptural paper models and then into gold. Much of my work is made up of loosely-fixed moveable elements, which shake, rattle or vibrate complementing the movements of the wearer’s body. I like to consider my work as wearable art. The interaction of the wearer with the work should bring the piece to life and this, to me, completes its function."
